2nd post

I painted the fish and coral and all the other extra things you would find int the bottom of the ocean.
I am also going to add ripples with a darker shade of all the colors I used.

One problem I came across was the color. It took a whole bunch of layers to make the color darker.
I will make the color darker and more vibrant, so the color will stick out.

first day of art project

So today, I have to start sketching and possibly painting. I have chosen to draw a mermaid staring into the eyes of an angler fish, because that was, something simple and easy. I´m starting by sketching out my art on a piece of construction paper. Simple, and easy.

Once I finish that, I start to go onto the watercolor paper. I want to show that it is deep sea, so I´m going to show coral and rocks at the bottom. Not starting the fish and the mermaid yet, I´m doing the rest for now.

After I finish the coral and other things, I start on the fish and Mermaid.

One big issue for me was the water color. It was too dark and I have to use a lot of water to undo the darker places that did not blend at all. So I will add more water to the painting so the colors will blend out more.

Finishing off I need to let it dry so the bubbles and main art doesn´t spread all over the water.

history page

Today we have to find some facts about of our artists. I chose Tim Burton for my artist.  I thought he was so inspiring. You know Coriline? And Beetlejuice? He drew the characters for them.
Tim Burton´s most famous work was Edward Scissorhands. Edward was an idea from ¨When I was a teenager.¨ I quote Burton.
For his artwork, Tim uses Water color and pencils for all of his art work. He used a flat canvas and sketched them out. He then, filled them in with watercolors, sometimes.
Tim´s job, was a Disney animator.
Burton´s most productive peroid was 2007-2012. During this time, the movies;
😈  Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street- 2004
😈  Alice in Wonderland- 2010
😈  Dark Shadows- Frankenweenie-  2012

One bizarre fact about Tim Burton is he helped direct with the 1989 Batman.

What inspired me to do my art on him was The Nightmare Before Christmas. I thought the way he did his art on the movie was amazing.
